Betty J. Gentry

Betty J. Gentry, 85, of Toledo, OH, died Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Born May 25, 1932, in Cookeville, TN, she was the daughter of Charlie O. and Irene V. (Brown) Fox. She married Edward Gentry on July 27, 1951, in Highland Park, MI. Betty was employed as a personnel technician for the University of Toledo for 22 years, retiring in 1992. She was a lifelong member of Flanders Road Church of Christ and enjoyed writing poetry and children short stories.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Edward; children, Edward (Carole) Gentry, Gregory Gentry and Ann (Bill) Bailey; brother, David W. Fox; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, William C. Fox.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, Cookeville, TN.
